Häxan
La sorcellerie à travers les âges
As a part of the new "Électrons libres" program, where sound and visual materials come together, Mauro Lanza has created a system that connects the structure of music to that of a film, including data from the image and processing them in real-time using electronics.
A sundry mix of historical reconstructions and sequences from an uninhibited imagination, the film Häxan is both an inquiry into 15th century ideology and a pamphlet against obscurantism and superstitions with an aesthetic close to that of Goya and Rodolphe Bresdin, engraver and Odilon Redon's teacher.
